The Ramblers group was formed in 2001 as a way for people from church, friends, and members of the wider community to meet to share the enjoyment of fresh air, exercise, fun and laughter together.
We usually ramble on Saturdays; the walks vary in length, usually a distance of five to seven miles depending on the time of year, and are arranged approximately every six weeks. We usually travel to the start point by car but there are always lifts available; we do sometimes use public transport, such as bus or train. We take a packed lunch and drinks suitable to the season and return home usually around mid-afternoon.
Once or twice a year we have two nights away in a hotel exploring other areas of the beautiful British countryside and walk 3 days, weather permitting! Walks are led by different members of the group.
