Social and fundraising activities are deeply embedded in the history of All Saints church. The group’s aims are to have some fun while simultaneously raising much-needed additional income for the church.
The means by which we do this are manifold – we have organised social events from skittle evenings to a First World War anniversary concert; from quizzes to fêtes and other events such as talks on local history and other issues and and silent cinema showings.
As everything at All Saints, we are outward-facing and always include the community of Kings Heath; it’s also a way of attracting people to church who would otherwise not cross the threshold. There’s a management group of around eight people, but other members of the church get involved for large annual events, such as our summer fête which often needs many more helpers.
